Celebrating 70 years of the US-ROK alliance

Size : 26.9 X 38.8 X 4cm

Material : Mixed Media

The image celebrates the 70 years of the US-ROK alliance. The numbers “70” are painted with a blue and red color scheme, reflecting the flags of both nations. The fiery background shows the challenges and difficulties both sides have went through together for the past 70 years.

Collectivism never succeeds

The drawing reflects upon the dangers of collectivism vividly portraying two sides with different outcomes. The drawing points out the necessity for the audience to escape collectivism and strive to achieve our goals with Individualism.

Post-catastrophe landscape

Size : 35 X 25 X 12cm

Material : Mixed Media

This piece is a tribute to Pompeii, and all those who suffered from the explosion in 1944. The landscape after such a catastrophe looks devastating, but somewhat peaceful, which adds to the ominousness. It also serves as a warning, one that reminds us of the dangers of natural catastrophes.

City of Ember : 2050

Size : 22 X 23.7cm

Material : Pen Drawing

The image peers down through a manhole cover to a city in the year 2050, modeled after The City of Ember. The scenery shows a dimly lit building with narrow roads different from the scenery we would expect. This scenery may be a possibility in the near future, if our world continues to use all of our remaining resources.

Material : Acrylic on Paper

The picture shows a elderly man. The lines on his face and the expression in his eyes convey the wisdom and experiences he has accumulated over a lifetime. It aims to portray the beauty of age, a quality some fail to understand in this look oriented society.

The image depicts the Russia-Ukraine War with a family photo that is shattered from a bullet.

The shattered glass symbolizes the broken relationships and families lost from the war.

The image portrays masks people wear in their daily life, to conceal their inner selves from others.

It depicts our tendencies to hide our true nature due to the harshness of our society.

The picture, Emerald Revelation shows a boy widening his eyes from a sight he witnessed.

The usage of green colors represents nature and its magnificence that the boy perceives.

This picture vividly depicts my imagintaion of a garden of art. The coexistence of patterns and wildlife manifests both nature’s art, animals and plants, and human’s art, Patterns and shapes.

The various array of colors and unexpected harmony of the two arts adds a magical and mysterious aspect to the painting.
